Extending and redefining Boundaries of the Hawke's Bay
Rabbit District.—Notice No. 392.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventh
day of May, 1894.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882 Amend-
ment Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”),
it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by
Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of any
district constituted under the said Act: And whereas the
district known as “The Hawke’s Bay Rabbit District” has
been constituted under the said Act, and it appears ex-
pedient to alter the boundaries of the same in manner
hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by the said Act, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby alter and redefine the boundaries
of the said Hawke’s Bay Rabbit District, so constituted as
aforesaid, and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of
the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule
hereto, and that the name of the said district, and the
Board of Trustees acting for such district, shall continue as
at present existing, subject to the provisions of the said Act;
and, further, that this Order in Council shall take effect on
and after the seventh day of May, 1894.

SCHEDULE.
All that portion of the Colony of New Zealand comprising
that portion of the County of Wairoa bounded as follows:
viz., Commencing at Te Ngaru; thence by the sea north-
ward to the mouth of the Mohaka River; thence by the
Mohaka River to its intersection with the south boundary of
the Wairoa County; thence by said county-boundary to
the point of commencement: together with the Counties of
Hawke’s Bay, Waipawa, and Patangata; and including also
that portion of Sections 1, Education Reserve, 2, and 4,
Makuri Survey District, Pahiatua County, the boundaries
of which are more particularly set forth on plan marked
A 92/317, and deposited at the office of the Department of
Agriculture, Wellington.

Regulation under “The Factories Act, 1891.”
GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventh
day of May, 1894.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Factories Act, 1891,” it is enacted
that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, alter, and repeal regulations not inconsistent with
the said Act for the several purposes specified in that behalf:
And whereas it appears expedient to make the regulation
hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby make the regulation hereinafter set forth, and
declare that such regulation shall come into force and take
effect on and after the first day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, that is to say,—
Not less than 250 cubic feet of air-space shall be allowed
for each person in any factory or workroom where persons are
employed during the hours between 6 o’clock in the morn-
ing and 6 o’clock in the evening, and not less than 400
cubic feet of air-space shall be provided for each person in
any workroom where persons are employed between 6 o’clock
in the evening and 6 o’clock in the morning. By a written
permit the Factory Inspector for the district may allow per-
sons to be employed in a workroom where there are less than
400 cubic feet of air-space for each person employed between
6 o’clock in the evening and 6 o’clock in the morning, pro-
vided such workroom is lighted by electricity and by no other
artificial light at all times during such hours as light is
needed while persons are employed therein.
