Has frontage to the Hawea River, and is situated about a mile and a half from Hawea Bridge and about four miles from Albert Town. Subdivisions of Run 239A, Mount Brown Station; last licensed by Messrs. R. McG. and C. A. Turnbull. Agricultural and pastoral land, watered; soil of Sections 8 to 12, good clay with rock bottom; would grow oats, wheat, or green crop; altitude from 1,400ft. to 2,000ft.; distance from Cromwell about forty miles. Yellow, soft tussock and strong fern is growing on this country. Valuations for improvements, payable with application, or immediately the result of ballot is declared, are as follow: Section 8, £4 14s. 6d.; Section 14, £9. Both amounts are for fencing.

All bush land with the exception of a few acres in Sections 19 and 20, which is a peat bog; the bush consists of kamai, pine, birch, and ribbonwood; soil fair; watered; situated about twenty-three miles from Owaka, and about twelve miles from Tautuku Bay; some of these sections are very steep, the altitude varying from 60ft. in front of section to 1,250ft. at back.

All mixed bush land, well watered; soil fair, but partly clayey with moss; it contains pine, kamai, ironwood, manuka, totara, and silver-birch; the altitude of Sections 1 to 5 ranges from 1,200ft. to 1,850ft., and that of the remainder, from 150ft. to 800ft.; situated about nineteen miles from Ratanui and about twenty-four miles from Owaka.
