THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

The object of the said application is that the company or
its assigns may be authorised to adopt and use electricity
as a motive-power on the said several tramways.
The works for that purpose are proposed to be on the
system known as the overhead system, and will consist in
the carriage of wires along posts erected along the streets
and public places through which the tramways pass, the
generation of electricity and the transmission of it along the
wires, and the application of it as a motive-power to the
cars and rolling-stock by connecting or disconnecting them
with the wires according to as motive-power is or is not re-
quired.
The proposed authorisation is intended to apply to and
the proposed works are intended to be made in the City of
Dunedin and the several boroughs of North-east Valley,
South Dunedin, St. Kilda, and Caversham.
A copy of this advertisement and a proper plan and sec-
tion of the proposed works will be deposited on the 30th day
of April, 1894, in the office of the Governor, Government
Buildings, Wellington; in the office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court at Dunedin; in the City Council offices of
the City of Dunedin; and the Borough Council offices of the
said several boroughs of North-east Valley, South Dunedin,
St. Kilda, and Caversham; and in the office of this company,
Stafford Street, Dunedin.
Printed copies of the draft orders proposed will when de-
posited, and of such orders when made, be obtainable at the
said several Council offices, and at the said office of this
company.
As witness the common seal of the above-named company
has been hereto affixed, at Dunedin, this 9th day of April,
1894.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meet-
ing of shareholders, held on the 4th instant, the under-
mentioned resolution was passed, and at a special meeting
held on the 21st instant was confirmed: viz., "That the
Puhipuhi Prospectors Company (Limited) be wound up
voluntarily, under the provisions of 'The Companies Act,
1882,' and amendments thereof; and that Francis Angus
White be appointed Liquidator, at a remuneration of 5 per
cent. on amounts collected."

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the
amendments thereof, and of the New Zealand Dairy
Farmers' Co-operative Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court was, on the 21st day of April, 1894, presented to Mr.
Justice Williams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by William
Robert Cameron, of Dunedin, exporter, a creditor of the
said company. And the said petition is directed to be heard
before a Judge of the said Court on the 1st day of June,
1894; and any creditor or contributory of the said company
desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up
of the said company under the above Acts should appear at
the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that pur-
pose. And a copy of the petition will be furnished to any
creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the
same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated
charge for the same.

THE MOUNT HUTT ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the above Road Board
proposes to execute certain public works, to wit, the
construction and repair of roads in the Mount Hutt Road
District, and for the purpose of obtaining a supply of gravel
for use in the said works the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and that a plan of the said
works and of the land required to be taken has been de-
posited at the Board's Office, Methven, and is now open for
inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said
works, or by the taking of the said land, are required to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objection which they may
have to the execution of such works or to the taking of such
land, and to send such writing within forty days from the
3rd day of May, 1894, being the date of the first publi-
cation of this notice, to the said Road Board, at its office,
Methven.
