Land taken for the Extension of the Wellington-Napier
Railway from the present Terminus of the Railway at
Thorndon, in the City of Wellington, to a point on the
Te Aro Reclamation, within the said City.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for the extension of the
Wellington-Napier Railway from the present terminus of
the railway at Thorndon, in the City of Wellington, to a
point on the Te Aro Reclamation, within the said city:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
in the manner hereby provided have been observed and per-
formed:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and
thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is taken for the extension of the said
line of railway hereinbefore specified.

purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Auckland, this
twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, James Prendergast, in the name
and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do
hereby proclaim the blocks of land described in the Schedule
hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
GIMMERBURN BLOCK.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 7,681 acres 2 roods 32 perches, more or less,
being Sections 11 and 12 of Block I., 18 and 21 of Block II.,
8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 of Block VII., and 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9 of
Block XII., Gimmerburn Survey District.
