Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a
sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held
within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington,
upon Monday, the thirtieth day of April, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

Land in Canterbury proclaimed a Road.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the thirteenth section of
"The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto,
and being a portion of the land in Blocks II., III., VII.,
VIII., and XII., Hawkins Survey District, shall be a public
road.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
situate in Blocks II., III., VII., VIII., and XII., Hawkins
Survey District, lying between the west side of the road
forming the western boundary of Sections 15696 and 15697
and the western boundary of the Courtenay Road District:
save and except therefrom the land vested in the County of
Selwyn, 1 chain wide, for water-race purposes, described
in the Gazette of the 26th April, 1888; also the land occupied
by the Whitecliffs Branch Railway: as the same is more
particularly delineated on the map deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixth day of March, one thousand eight hun-
dred and ninety-four.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License-
fee, &c., Taranaki District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the Taranaki
District, consisting of the Counties of Taranaki, Clifton,
and Stratford (excepting therefrom the reserve known as
Mount Egmont Forest Reserve, being the area included
within the circumference of a circle having a radius of six
miles from the summit of the said Mount Egmont), from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
four, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, both inclusive (subject nevertheless
to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do
further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within
the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and
native game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth
is hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.

And I do further declare that native game, excepting tui,
huia, white heron, and crested grebe, may be taken or killed
within the above-mentioned district, excepting therefrom the
aforesaid Mount Egmont Forest Reserve, from the first day
of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, to the
thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-four, both days inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fourteenth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License-
fee, &c., Cook County District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock pheasants and
Californian quail may be taken or killed within the Cook
County District, consisting of the Counties of Cook and
Waiapu, from the first day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, to the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, both inclusive

(subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts
mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take
or kill game within the said district shall be issued on
payment of the sum of ten shillings each, and that licenses
to sell game and native game shall be issued on the
payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief
Postmaster at Gisborne is hereby appointed to sign and issue
the said licenses.

And I do further declare that native game, excepting tui,
huia, white heron, and crested grebe, may be taken or killed
within the above-mentioned district from the twenty-third
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four,
to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-four, both days inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fourteenth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four.

fee, &c., Tauranga District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby notify that pheasants and Californian
quail may be taken or killed within the Tauranga District,
consisting of the Counties of Tauranga and Rotorua and so
much of the Counties of East Taupo and Whakatane as lies
to the north of the Rangitaiki River, together with all
boroughs therein, from the first day of May, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four, to the thirty-first day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, both inclusive
(subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts
mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or
kill such game within the said district shall be issued on
payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that
licenses to sell game and native game shall be issued on pay-
ment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmasters
at Tauranga and Rotorua are hereby appointed to sign and
issue the said licenses.

And I do further declare that native game, excepting
tui, huia, white heron, and crested grebe, may be taken or
killed within the above-mentioned district from the twenty-
third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
four, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, both days inclusive.

Californian quail may be taken or killed within the Hawke's
Bay District, consisting of the Counties of Hawke's Bay,
Patangata, Waipawa, and Wairoa, together with all the
town districts and boroughs therein, from the first day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, to the
thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-four, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the
restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further
notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the
said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of ten
shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and native
game shall be issued on the payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Napier, and the
Postmasters at Waipawa, Woodville, Wairoa, Dannevirke,
Hastings, Mohaka, Waipukurau, Norsewood, Ormondville,
Porangahau, and Wimbledon are hereby appointed to sign
and issue the said licenses.

And I do further declare that native game, excepting tui,
huia, white heron, and crested grebe, may be taken or killed
within the above-mentioned district from the first day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, to the
thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-four, both days inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this nineteenth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four.
