NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE,
HAWERA, at 9 o'clock a.m. on SATURDAY,
the 7th day of APRIL, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW
LEASE to ALICE RIDDIFORD of parts of the
Whareroa Reserve, in the Provincial District
of TARANAKI, containing 549 acres and 15
perches (more or less), being Land comprised
in confirmed Leases Nos. 24 and 25.

owners of all that piece of land situate in the
Provincial District of Taranaki, being portions
of the Whareroa Reserve, and containing by
admeasurement 549 acres and 15 perches (more
or less), being the land comprised in confirmed
leases Nos. 24 and 25, and to Alice Riddiford, of
Hawera, assignee:

Whereas the above-named Alice Riddiford has
given notice to me, under the provisions of sec-
tion 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Reserves
Act, 1892," that she desires to obtain under that
section a new lease of the land above described;
and I consider her application ought to be given
effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a
meeting to take place between the said Alice
Riddiford and all the Native owners of the above-
described land, for the purpose for fixing the
rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the
Courthouse, Hawera, as the place where, and
Saturday, the 7th day of April, 1894, at 9 o'clock
in the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting
shall take place.

17th day of APRIL, 1894, to fix the Rent for a
NEW LEASE to EDWARD BIRKETT of Section
No. 33, Block X., Opunake, containing 102 acres
(more or less), being Land comprised in Me-
morandum of Lease registered No. 518.

Opunake Survey District, being Section No. 33,
Block X., and containing by admeasurement 102
acres (more or less), being the land comprised
in memorandum of lease, registered No. 518, to
Edward Birkett, of Opunake, farmer, transferee:

Whereas the above-named Edward Birkett
has given notice to me, under the provisions
of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Edward Birkett and all the Native owners
of all the above-described land, for the purpose
of fixing the rent to be paid for the said
land for the first twenty-one years of the new
lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Opunake, as
the place where, and Tuesday, the 17th day of
April, 1894, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, as the
time when, such meeting shall take place.
