NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE, HA-
WERA, at 2 o'clock p.m. on MONDAY, 9th APRIL,
1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to ROBERT
PALMER of Section 16, Block II., HAWERA, con-
taining 100 acres (more or less), being Land
comprised in Memorandums of Lease regis-
tered Nos. 443 and 818.

situate in the Hawera Survey District, being
Section 16, Block II., and containing by admea-
surement 100 acres (more or less), being the land
comprised in memorandums of lease, registered
Nos. 443 and 818, to Robert Palmer, of Hawera,
settler, as transferee:

Whereas the above-named Robert Palmer has
given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Robert Palmer and all the Native owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose
of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land
for the first twenty-one years of the new lease;
and I fix the Courthouse, Hawera, as the place
where, and Monday, the 9th day of April, 1894,
at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, as the time when,
such meeting shall take place.

Donald Buchanan, of Hawera, farmer, lessee :

Whereas the above-named Donald Buchanan
has given notice to me, under the provisions
of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement
Reserves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land
above described; and I consider his application
ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I
do hereby appoint a meeting to take place be-
tween the said Donald Buchanan and all the
Native owners of the above-described land, for
the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for
the said land for the first twenty-one years of
the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Hawera,
as the place where, and Tuesday, the 10th day of
April, 1894, at 9 o'clock in the forenoon, as the
time when, such meeting shall take place.

Reserves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider his application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Arthur Newell and all the Native owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose
of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land
for the first twenty-one years of the new lease;
and I fix the Courthouse, Hawera, as the place
