Land set apart for Village Settlement in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the allotments of Crown lands respectively described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for lease as village settlements.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this eighth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the district the boundaries whereof are described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby incorporated into the Borough of Kaiapoi; and I do further proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said borough shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND TO BE ADDED TO THE BOROUGH OF KAIAPOI.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated in the Rangiora Survey District, bounded towards the north generally by Cam Road from Revell's Road to the bridge over the Cam River; thence by a line along the middle of the roadway across that river; thence by the said Cam River and Native reserve to the old North Road; thence by a line across that road, and again by the said Native reserve and by Rural Section No. 1295, to the North Road: thence towards the east by the North Road: towards the south generally by Beach Road to the north branch of the Waimakariri River; thence by a right line across that river and by its southern bank to the middle of Hilton Street: thence towards the south-west generally by a right line across the north branch of the Waimakariri River, by the northern bank of the said north branch, and by Revell's Road, to Cam Road, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOROUGH OF KAIAPOI (AMENDED BOUNDARIES).

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Rangiora Survey District, bounded towards the north generally by Cam Road from Revell's Road to the bridge over the Cam River; thence by a line along the middle of the roadway across that river; thence by the said Cam River and Native reserve to the old North Road; thence by a line across that road, and again by the said Native reserve, and by Rural Section No. 1295, to the North Road; thence towards the east by the North Road; again towards the north by Beach Road and Rural Sections Nos. 360, 1002, and 1011, to a point in line with the western boundary of Reserve No. 270; thence again towards the east by a right line across a road to the north-western corner of that reserve; thence by the said Reserve No. 270, and by Rural Section No. 1393, and the western boundary-line of that section produced to the Waimakariri River: thence towards the south generally by that river and the southern side of the road intersecting original Rural Sections Nos. 297, 468, and 321, to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Rural Section No. 365 (the last-mentioned boundary being the present southern boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi): thence towards the west generally by a right line to the south-eastern corner of that section; and thence by that section and its eastern boundary-line produced to the north branch of the Waimakariri River; thence by that branch to
