I, HENRY FERDINAND BERNAU, Member of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England, Licentiate of the
Royal College of Physicians of London, now residing in
New Plymouth, hereby give notice that I intend applying,
on the 27th January, 1894, next, to have my name placed on
the Medical Register for the Colony of New Zealand; and
that I have deposited the evidence of my qualifications in
the office of the Registrar-General.

In the matter of "The District Railways Act, 1877," and of
the Hutt Park Railway.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 30th day of Decem-
ber, 1893, the Hutt Park Railway Company (Limited)
caused copies of a plan and book of reference, setting forth
and describing the middle line and direction of a deviation
(from a point on the Esplanade Road at Petone, which point
is on the production of the eastern boundary-line of Sec-
tion 8, Hutt District, to a point a short distance west of the
production of the western boundary-line of Lot 1 of the
subdivision of Section 2, Hutt District, where the above-
named railway joins the present Government railway-line)
proposed to be made by such company of and in the above-
mentioned railway, showing the lands required to be taken
for and in connection with such deviation, and the names of
the owners and occupiers of such lands, as far as they can
be ascertained, to be deposited in the public office of the
Petone Borough Council, situate in the Borough of Petone,
and in the public office, situate Lambton Quay, in the City
of Wellington, of the Council of the County of Hutt.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For statements under the Mining Act the charge is 2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 10 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
