THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Manganui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Flint Road East Special Rating District, taken on Monday, 27th November, 1893, upon the following proposal: To raise a loan of £250, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of completing the formation and metalling on Flint Road East, to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, and to strike as security on this loan a special rate of 1d. in the pound for twenty-six years over the following lands: viz., Sections 5, 6, 7, Block I., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 12, 102, 103, 104, Block II., Ngaire Survey District; and Section 32, Block XIV., Huiroa Survey District:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 5, representing 6 votes: number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 5; no votes were recorded against the proposal.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

THE following special orders, made by the Kumeroa Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

KUMEROA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDERS.
THAT a special rate of 5½d. in the pound be struck on the rateable value of Section 6, Block XV., and Sections 10 and 11, Block XVII., all in the Tahoraite Survey District, to secure the repayment of a loan of £120 for the Upper Otawhao Road. Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and to be due and payable on the 1st day of March in each year.
That a special rate of 7¼d. in the pound be struck on the rateable value of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9, Block XVII., Tahoraite Survey District, to secure the repayment of a loan of £50 for the Totara Road. Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and to be due and payable on the 1st day of March in each year.
I hereby certify that the above special orders were duly made at a special meeting of the Kumeroa Road Board held on the 2nd of December, 1893.
