Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Pohangina Road Board, County of Oroua.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Pohangina Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

POHANGINA ROAD BOARD.

THE following is the result of a poll of ratepayers on a proposal to borrow £2,000 for construction of roads in the Feilding Special Settlement Block, being part of No. 5 Ward of the Pohangina Road District:—
Ratepayers on roll, 86, representing 92 votes; votes recorded for proposal, 53; number of ratepayers voting, 51; votes against, 3.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

HOROWHENUA COUNTY.—SPECIAL DISTRICT NO. 3.

IT is hereby notified that the result of the poll of ratepayers, taken at Levin, for the Special District No. 3 of the Wirokino Riding, in the above county, on the 21st day of October, 1893, in the matter of the proposal to borrow from the Colonial Treasurer, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," the sum of £1,000 for the formation and metalling of the Main County Road in and through the Levin Block Special District No. 3, was as follows:—
Number of voters on special roll, 97; number of votes exercisable on special roll, 104; number of voters who voted in favour of loan, 63; number of votes in favour of loan, 69; votes against the proposal, nil.
As a majority of the ratepayers, capable of exercising a majority of the votes, voted in favour of the above proposal, I declare it carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Manawatu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

MANAWATU ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll taken on the 28th day of October, 1893, on the proposal to raise a loan of £495 under "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," and "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to clear, form, and bridge Melsom's Line from the Boundary Road, Palmerston North, to the Bunnythorpe—Kairanga Road:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 9, representing 23 votes: 5 ratepayers, representing 12 votes, voted in favour of the proposal; and 4 ratepayers, representing 11 votes, did not vote.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
