Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Manganui Road Dis-
trict, County of Stratford.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of
the Manganui Road Board, is published in accord-
ance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1886."

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll taken on Monday, 16th October, 1893, on a
proposal to raise a loan of £600 under "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of
clearing and draining the Radnor Road from the Mountain
Road to the Piakau Bridge, and to clear and drain the road
where necessary from the Piakau Bridge to the Cardiff
Road; to gravel the road from the Mountain Road to the
Piakau Bridge with not less than 8in. of gravel or 6in. of
broken metal; to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it;
to strike as security on this loan a special rate of 1¾d. in the
pound over the following lands, viz., Sections 24, 25, 26, 27,
28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47;
Suburban 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23,
Manganui Survey District:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 19, representing 20
votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 10;
no votes were recorded against the proposal.

The number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal not
representing one-half the valuation, I therefore declare the
proposal lost.
