SECOND SCHEDULE.
FORM OF LICENSE.

WHEREAS , of , being a labourer employed in the State forest at ____, has made application for a license to occupy the land hereinafter described—that is to say: All [describe the land] as the same is delineated in the plan drawn in the margin hereof, and thereon coloured red:

Now, therefore, I, the Commissioner of State Forests, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” do hereby license the said to occupy the said land for the term of years from the first day of , next, subject nevertheless to the payment of £ per annum, by way of rent, payable half-yearly in advance on the first days of January and July in each year, the first half-yearly payment of rent having been made, and the next payment to become due on the day of , all such rents to be paid to the proper officer, at the Crown Lands Office at Invercargill; and subject also to the terms and conditions particularly set forth in certain regulations issued under the said Act, and made on the day of , 1893, and a copy whereof is set forth on the back of this license.

Fixing the Date of Payment of Land-tax under “The Land-tax and Income-tax Act, 1893.”

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, 1893.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him under “The Land-tax and Income-tax Act, 1893,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Act by way of land-tax and of further graduated land-tax shall be paid in one sum on Thursday, the seventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the power and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place where the said duties of land-tax shall be paid shall be the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, at the Government Buildings, Wellington, and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Lands permanently reserved.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the two hundred and thirty-sixth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said two hundred and thirty-fifth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notification of which was published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
