RESOLUTION.

THE Raglan County Council, at a special meeting held on the 23rd August, 1893, confirmed a resolution passed at a special meeting held on the 17th May, 1893, as follows: “That the special order bringing ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,’ into force be rescinded.”

THE following special order, made by the Parihaka Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, to secure the repayment of a loan of £600 raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of forming and metalling the Warea East Road, a special rate of 1½d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands: viz., Sections 104, 105, 106, 107, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, Block VIII., and Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Block IX., Cape Survey District, constituting the Warea East Special Rating District; such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be payable in one instalment on the 1st October in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order was passed, and recorded in the minute-book of the Parihaka Road Board, at an ordinary meeting held on Monday, the 18th September, 1893.

WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.—TOKOMARU-TUAKAU SPECIAL DISTRICT.

THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 13th September, 1893, upon a proposal to borrow £1,600 in terms of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of constructing a dray-road from Tokomaru to Whareohine:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 8, entitled to exercise 16 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 5, exercising 9 votes; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 0.

I declare the proposal to be carried.

The following is the result of a poll taken on the 13th September, 1893, upon a proposal to borrow £1,600 in terms of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of constructing a dray-road from Whareohine to the boundary of Small Grazing-run No. 55, at Whakauranga, a bridle-track from Whakauranga to the boundary of Small Grazing-run No. 57, and a bridle-track from Whakauranga to the boundary of Small Grazing-run No. 56:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll, 5, entitled to exercise 5 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 3, exercising 3 votes; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 0.

I declare the proposal to be carried.
