Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Matakana and Waipukurau Districts; and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into four registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Matakana, Omaha, Waipukurau, and Takapau Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fourteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

Lands taken for Roads in Waimea County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of roads in Waimea County:
And whereas the Waimea County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by maps, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said roads,

Rates for Parcels to New South Wales.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of September, 1893.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council, made under the provisions of “The Post Office Act 1881 Amendment Act, 1886,” and “The Post Office (Foreign Parcels) Act, 1888,” and issued on the tenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, certain rates of postage were prescribed for the transmission of parcels through the post respectively within the colony, to the United Kingdom, to foreign places by way of the United Kingdom, and to certain of the Australian Colonies, and Tasmania: And whereas it is expedient to extend the parcel-post to New South Wales:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Post Office Act 1881 Amendment Act, 1886,” and “The Post Office (Foreign Parcels) Act, 1888,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulation, that is to say: The rates of postage prescribed by the regulations made by the herein-before-mentioned Order in Council are hereby revoked so far as the same relate to the Australian Colonies, and in lieu thereof the rates of postage set forth in the Schedule hereto are hereby prescribed in respect of all the Australian Colonies, including New South Wales. This regulation shall come into force on and after the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

Regulation for Trout- and Perch-fishing, Auckland Acclimatisation District: Amended Season.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of September, 1893.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulation for the Auckland Acclimatisation District, which includes the Provincial District of Auckland (with the exception of the Counties of Tauranga, Whakatane, and Cook) and the waters thereof; and doth hereby declare that this regulation shall, as from the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette, supersede regulation number four, made by Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the twenty-ninth day of November in the same year; and doth also declare that in all other respects the regulations made by the last-named Order in Council shall remain in full force and virtue.
REGULATION.
- Any holder of a license may fish with one rod and line for trout and perch, and may use a landing-net or gaff to secure any trout or perch caught with such rod and line, in all waters within that district or part of the North Island known as “The Auckland Acclimatisation District,” which includes the Provincial District of Auckland with the exception of the Counties of Tauranga, Whakatane, and Cook, from the first day of November in any one year to the thirty-first day of March in the year following, both inclusive.
