Notice of Intention to take Land for the Use of the Lunatic Asylum at Porirua.
NOTICE is hereby given that certain land is required for the use and convenience of the Lunatic Asylum at Porirua, and for the purpose of securing an efficient water-supply for the said asylum, and that for such purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1892.” And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the area of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office, Porirua, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections thereto, set forth such objections in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

Notice of the Laying-off of Roads over Lands in the Taranaki Land District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” and its amendments, that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, in September, 1891, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by a warrant of the date mentioned therein.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Land District of Taranaki, containing in the aggregate by admeasurement 59 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, situate in the Ngatimaru Survey District, being road-lines, of a width of 100 links or more, traversing a portion of the Pohokura Block, and described as follows:—
That parcel of land containing by admeasurement 16 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, situate in the Ngatimaru Survey District, being a road-line, of a width of 100 links or more, traversing a portion of the Pohokura Block, the western side of which commences at peg No. xcv. on the southern boundary of the Pohokura Block aforesaid, and distant 3579·4 links from Ngarongatuatini Trig. Station on a bearing of N. 65° 3′ W.; and thence continues north-easterly generally for a distance of 16802 links to peg No. xliii. on the traverse of aforesaid road, and being on the boundary-line between Subdivisions 1b and 1c of the Pohokura Block aforesaid: be the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No. 657A, deposited in the District Land and Survey Office, New Plymouth.
That parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 23 perches, more or less, situate in the Ngatimaru Survey District, being a road-line, of a width of 100 links or more, traversing a portion of the Pohokura Block, the western side of which commences at peg No. xliii. on the traverse of the aforesaid road, and being on the boundary-line between Subdivisions 1b and 1c of the Pohokura Block aforesaid; and thence continues northerly generally for a distance of 14642 links to peg No. lxxxi. on the traverse of the aforesaid road: be the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No. 657B, deposited in the District Land and Survey Office, New Plymouth.
That parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 28 acres and 38 perches, more or less, situate in the Ngatimaru Survey District, being a road-line, of a width of 100 links or more, traversing a portion of the Pohokura Block, the traverse of aforesaid road; and thence continues northerly western side of which commences at peg No. lxxxi. on the for a distance of 18053 links to peg No. cl. on the northern boundary of the Pohokura Block, and distant 12006·4 links south-east from the north-western corner of the said Pohokura Block: be the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No. 657c, deposited in the District Land and Survey Office, New Plymouth.

Notice by Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1892.”
In the matter of a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 28 poles, more or less, and being Section 12 and part of Section 13 of Block IV., fronting Long Street, in the Town of Reidston; also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and being Section 5 of Block VII., fronting Totara Street, in the Town of Reidston; also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and being Section 6 of Block III., fronting Quarry Street, in the Town of Reidston; also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 29 poles, more or less, and being Sections 9 and 10 of Block X., fronting Bridge Road, in the Town of Maheno; also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 22 poles, more or less, and being Sections 1, 2, 5, and 9 of Block VI., fronting Lanchester, Whickham, and Bensham Streets, in the Town of Maheno; also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 6 poles, more or less, and being Allotment 3 of Block II., fronting Harbour Terrace, in the Township of Kakanui; and also a parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 11 poles, more or less, and being Allotment 3 of Block IV., fronting Harbour Terrace, in the Township of Kakanui: of which the last known owner was James Wheatley, deceased.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of the above-described land having no known owner, and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection to the said land being declared subject to the above-named Act:
Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps prescribed by “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” to be registered as the owner of such land.

Notice by Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1892.”
In the matter of a parcel of land, being Section 1076 and part of Section 1078 on the Record Map of the City of Christchurch—bounded on the north by Section 1075 and part of Section 1078, 96ft.; on the east by other part of Section 1078, 161ft.; on the south by St. Asaph Street, 96ft.; and on the west by Montreal Street, 161ft., to the commencing point: be all or any of the said admeasurements a little more or less—of which the last known owner was Martin Birmingham, deceased.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of the above-described land having no known owner, and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection to the said land being declared subject to the above-named Act:
Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps prescribed by “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” to be registered as the owner of such land.
