Rural Lands in the Nelson Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—UNSURVEYED SECOND-CLASS LAND.

ALL that block of land in the Nelson Land District, situate in the Waimea Survey District, containing approximately 1,727 acres. Bounded towards the south-east by a line bearing 219° 30′ from the south-western corner of Section No. 1, Block VIII., Waimea Survey District, to the River Miner; towards the south-west by the Rivers Miner and Hacket and by surveyed sections; towards the westward generally partly by surveyed sections and partly by the River Roding; and towards the northward partly by surveyed sections and partly by the River Roding.

Steep hills, fair soil, covered with forest, principally birch timber. Access by proposed tracks leading from the main road up the River Roding.

Cash price, 6s. an acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3·6d. an acre; lease in perpetuity, 2·88d. an acre.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JOHN MARTIN CROUCHER

to be a Trustee, in the place of Roderick McRae, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Richmond Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.
