REMARKS.—Showery in early part of month, and strong N.W. winds up to 4th; fine weather about middle of month, then showery from 19th to 24th; from 25th to end of month fine; prevailing winds from N.W. and S.; snow and hail on 9th and 10th; foggy on 16th; maximum temperature in shade, 69°; minimum, 34°; mean temperature of dew-point, 41°·8; mean humidity, 73. Earthquake on 15th, at 11·58 p.m., slight, N. to S.
