THE following special order, made by the Waimate Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special annual recurring rate of 2½d. in the pound
be made for a period of twenty-six years, commencing from
the 1st March, 1894, over the following properties—Sections
85, 86, 87, 88, Block V., Ngaire Survey District, defined as
the Finnerty Road Special Area No. 1 (Waimate)—for the
purpose of payment of interest and other charges on the loan
of £530, borrowed under "The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act, 1886." The said special rate shall be payable
(if required) half-yearly, in equal instalments, on the 1st day
of July and the 1st day of January in each year of the afore-
said period.

Instituted by the Waimate Road Board, on the motion of
Mr. Philip McCarthy, seconded by Mr. A. W. Wood, at a
meeting held on the 23rd day of May, 1893.

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special order was
made on Saturday, the 3rd June, 1893, and confirmed on
Saturday, the 8th July, 1893: That, to secure the repay-
ment of a loan of £65, raised under "The Government Loans
to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of completing
the erection of a bridge over the Mako Stream, on the Rata-
piko Road, a special rate of 1d. in the pound be made and
levied over the following lands—viz., Sections 23, 24, 27,
Block X., 1, 2, 8, Block XI., Huiroa Survey District; such
rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years,
and shall be payable in two half-yearly instalments, on the
1st of January and the 1st of July in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made in accordance with "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

Special Order made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board,
County of Wanganui.

THE following special order, made by the Upper
Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

THE UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special order be made, making a special rate of 1¼d.
in the pound of the capital value of the following properties,
liable to be specially rated under the provisions of "The
Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886," and "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886"—to wit, (1) Otuangiangi,
680 acres: (2) that portion of Section 5, Heao Block, bounded
on one side by a straight line running from the northernmost
point of Otuangiangi to the south-eastern corner of Section 4,
Heao Block, and on the other side by the Wangaehu River,
13 acres: (3) Runs 4, 3, 2, and 1, Heao Block; Run 45,
Ngamatea Survey District; Runs 44, 43, 42, 41, 37, 38, and
39, Mangawhero Survey District: and (4) that portion of the
Matawhitia Block bounded by the Wangaehu River and the
Upper Wangaehu Valley Road, 100 acres—such rate to be
for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund for a
loan of £1,000, obtained under the provisions of the said
Acts, and shall be an annually-recurring rate, payable in
two equal half-yearly instalments, commencing on the 1st
day of May, 1894, and the 1st day of November, 1894, and
on the same dates of each year following, until the loan in
respect of which the said rate is made is paid off.

I hereby certify that a special order, of which the above is
a copy, was duly passed, in accordance with the provisions
of sections 75 and 76 of "The Road Boards Act, 1882," at a
meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board held 3rd
June, 1893, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Upper
Wangaehu Road Board held 8th July, 1893.

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

MANAWATU ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Manawatu Road Board
did, at a special meeting held on Friday, the 14th day of
July, 1893, make the following special order: For the pur-
pose of providing interest and other annual charges on a
loan of £600, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies
Act, 1886," to form and metal the Bunnythorpe—Kairanga
and Karere Roads, in the Manawatu Road District, from
Section No. 1582 to a point distant 25 chains from
the Foxton Road, that a special rate of ½d. in the
pound be made on the rateable values of Sections Nos.
6, 7, 8, 1590, 1592, 1593, 1594, 1598 to 1603 inclu-
sive, Blocks IX. and XIII., Kairanga, and Sections Nos. 3
and 4, Block XII., Te Kauau; such rate to be an annually-
recurring rate for twenty-six years, payable by two equal
instalments on the first days of February and August in
each year, at the Board's office, in Palmerston North. The
costs of raising above loan to be paid out of loan.
