Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Road in Whangarei Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Whangarei to Kamo Railway, and it is considered desirable
to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners that such land is not required for
railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in
the Whangarei Town District, the local authority of which
has consented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion
that the said local authority can conveniently construct and
maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by section five
of "The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1889," and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that
the said road shall be under the control of the Whangarei
Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in
like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 32 perches, more or less,
being a portion of Lots Nos. 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of Section No.
5 of Lot No. 1, in the Whangarei Town District. Bounded
by a right line commencing at a point on the south boundary
of said Lot No. 2 distant 80 links from its south-east corner,
and proceeding thence north-easterly to a point on the south-
west boundary of said Lot No. 8 distant 20 links from its
southernmost corner; thence along a right line north-easterly
in continuation of the same right line for a distance of 40
links; thence northerly along a right line to a point on the
north-west boundary of said Lot No. 8 distant 46 links from
its northernmost corner; thence north-westerly along a right
line to the northernmost corner of the said Lot No. 6; thence
south-easterly along the north-east boundary of said Lots
Nos. 6, 7, 8, and 9 to the south-east corner of said Lot No. 9;
and thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said
Lots Nos. 9 and 2 to the commencing-point; as the same
is delineated upon plan marked S.G. 20249, deposited in the
Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at
Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight

Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of
June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-three.

Grazing-runs under "The Land Act, 1892."

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second
section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, David, Earl
of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one
hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of
Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892," relating to small grazing-
runs.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of
