has given notice to me under the p rovisions of
section 8 of " The W est Coast Settlem ent Reserves
Act, 1892," that he desiree to obtain under that
section a new l e a s e of the land above described;
and I consider his application ough t to be given
e ffe c t to: Now, therefore, I do hereb y appoint
a meeting to take place between the said J o h n
W hite F orem an and all the N ative owners of the
a b o v e - d e s c r i b e d land, for the purpose of fixing
the rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twenty -one years of the new l e a s e ; and I fix
the Courthouse, W aitara, as the place where, and
