"THE WEST COAST SETTLEMENT RESERVES ACT, 1892."

NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE, WAITARA, at 4 o’clock p.m. on SATURDAY, the 24th JUNE, 1893, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to JAMES HINE of Section 10, Block VI., WAITARA, containing 190 acres (more or less), being Land comprised in Memorandum of Lease registered No. 739.

TO Paratene Nikorima, Turei Nikorima, Teiati Hoera, Rairini Watene, Hoera Para, Wi Kingi Kaponga, Te Rako Eruera Kingi, Meiha Paratene, Eruini Marau, Te One Mihi, Ngana tamaiti, Pitama Rawiri, Te Warepukahu, Peina Taiangala, Peina Puta Ponga, Hapurona Tau-pata, Ramare Teieti, Riria Tutare, Rahira Piti, Heni Hineahi, Ani Rawiri, Ani Piti Rawiri, Ware-tiki Rai, Hinemate Paratene, Wairerewha Para, Kuramahiao Arapata, Ngarongo Arapata, Ruihi Hakaraia, Kuruhira Porana, Kuramahiao, Te Miri, Kawara, Miriama, Tapuhi, Hapurona, Netaia, Moari (Arapata Tairi, trustee for Tapuhi, Moari, and Hapurona), Kuruhira Piti, Metapere Paraone, Pereniki Paratene, Taukirangi Pene, Makere, Miriama Arapata, Makera Nua, Moari Arapata, Kanara Arapata, Mina Kurimahiao, Mere Tuhia, and the other Native owners of all that piece of land situate in the Waitara Survey District, being Section 10, Block VI., and containing by admeasurement 190 acres (more or less), being the land comprised in memorandum of lease, registered No. 739, to James Hine, of Tikorangi, farmer, as lessee.

Whereas the above-named James Hine has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider his application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said James Hine and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the place where, and Saturday, the 24th day of June, 1893, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.

NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE WAITARA, at 2 o’clock p.m. on MONDAY, the 26th JUNE, 1893, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to JOHN WHITEHEAD, of Section No. 47. Block VI., WAITARA, containing 92 acres (more or less), being Land comprised in Memorandum of Lease registered No. 765.

TO Pita Raeuana, Rawiri te Peke, Pitama Pirika, Te Hei, Horima Hoera, Hori Taku-nana, George Stockman, Horima Peopeo, Arapata Tairi, Te Kini Tumarewa, Wi Ruka te Tupe, Hapurona Horima, Peka Horima, Edward Stockman, George Stockman, jun., Frederick James Stockman, Rawiri Kuao, Piripi Ngapika, Tapuhi Arapata (Arapata, trustee), Hapurona Arapata (Arapata, trustee), Kere Ponga, Hana Field, Maikara Parete Teira, Hatarete Mahia, Horiana te Rangitakei, Te Mira Arapata, Te Huna te Moa, Karihi, Kahu (Arapata Tairi, trustee for Karihi and Kahu). Whereas the above-named John Whitehead has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider his application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said John Whitehead and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the place where, and Monday, the 26th day of June, 1893, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.

Whereas the above-named Francis Vickery and John Vickery have given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that they desire to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider their application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said Francis Vickery and John Vickery and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the place where, and Monday, the 26th day of June, 1893, a 10 o’clock in the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.

Whereas the above-named Isabella Home has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that she desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider her application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said Isabella Home and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease, and I fix the Courthouse, Manaia, as the place where, and Friday, the 30th day of June, 1893, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.
