A strip of land being part of Mangaehu Road, containing
by admeasurement 16 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more or less,
situate in the Ngaiere Survey District, traversing a portion
of the Toko B Block, the western side of which commences
at the opposite angle-peg of road-peg No. xxxi., and thence
continues south-easterly generally for a distance of 16694·8
links to the opposite angle-peg of peg No. lxxii. on traverse
of aforesaid road : as the same is delineated on Plan No. 621A,
deposited as hereinafter mentioned.
Road taken and laid off in April, 1892.
A strip of land being part of Mangaehu Road, containing
by admeasurement 23 acres 3 roods, more or less, situate in
the Ngaiere and Omona Survey Districts, traversing a portion
of the Toko B Block, the eastern side of which commences
at the opposite angle-peg of peg No. lxxii. on traverse of road
above referred to, and thence continues south-easterly gene-
rally for a distance of 8308·9 links to the Mangaehu River :
as the same is delineated on Plan No. 621B, deposited as
hereinafter mentioned.
Road taken and laid off in April, 1892.
A strip of land being part of Toko Road, containing by ad-
measurement 18 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate in the
Ngaiere Survey District, traversing a portion of the Toko A
Block, the northern side of which commences on eastern
boundary of Toko A Block above referred to, at peg No. i.
on traverse of aforesaid Toko Road, and thence continues
south-easterly generally for a distance of 14943·5 links to
opposite angle-peg of peg No. xx. on traverse of aforesaid
road : as the same is delineated on Plan No. 615A, deposited
as hereinafter mentioned.

A strip of land being part of Toko Road, containing by ad-
measurement 11 acres 1 rood, more or less, situate in the
Ngaiere Survey District, traversing a portion of the Toko B
Block, the southern side of which commences at opposite
angle-peg to peg No. xx. on traverse of road above referred
to, and thence continues south-easterly generally for a dis-
tance of 10539·7 links to opposite angle-peg to peg No. xxxi.
on traverse of aforesaid road : as the same is delineated on
Plan No. 619, deposited as hereinafter mentioned.

A strip of land being part of Toko Road, containing by ad-
measurement 17 acres 1 rood, more or less, situate in the
Ngaiere and Omona Survey Districts, traversing a portion
of the Toko B Block, the south-eastern side of which com-
mences at opposite angle-peg to peg No. xxxi. on traverse of
road above referred to, and thence continues north-easterly
generally for a distance of 14530·8 links to opposite angle-peg
to peg No. lxx. on traverse of aforesaid road : as the same is
delineated on plan No. 615c, deposited as hereinafter
mentioned.

A strip of land being part of Toko Road, containing by ad-
measurement 18 acres, more or less, situate in the Omona
Survey District, traversing a portion of the Toko B Block,
the south-eastern side of which commences at opposite
angle-peg to peg No. lxx. on traverse of road above referred
to, and thence continues north-easterly generally for a dis-
tance of 15622·7 links to opposite angle-peg to peg No. cviii.
on traverse of aforesaid road : as the same is delineated on
Plan No. 615D, deposited as hereinafter mentioned.

A strip of land being part of Toko Road, containing by ad-
measurement 17 acres 1 rood, more or less, situate in Omona
and Ngatimaru Survey Districts, traversing a portion of the
Toko B Block, the eastern side of which commences at oppo-
site angle-peg to peg No. cviii. on traverse of road above
referred to, and thence continues northerly generally for a
distance of 15853·7 links to Huiakama Block : as the same is
delineated on Plan No. 615E, deposited as hereinafter
mentioned.
Road taken and laid off in January, 1892.
A strip of land being part of New Road, containing by
admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate in the
Ngaiere Survey District, traversing a portion of the Toko A
Block, the centre of which commences on north-eastern
boundary of the Toko A Block above referred to, at point
marked D on Plan No. 615A hereinafter mentioned, and
thence continues south-westerly for a distance of 5463 links
to peg No. xiv. on traverse of Toko Road : as the same is
delineated on Plan No. 615A, deposited as hereinafter
mentioned.
Road taken and laid off in January, 1892.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, as the same
are delineated on the aforesaid Plans Nos. 621A, 621B, 615A,
619, 615c, 615D, and 615E, deposited in the District Land
and Survey Office, New Plymouth, in the Land District of
Taranaki, and thereon coloured pink.

Notice to Mariners, No. 24 of 1893.
NELSON HARBOUR.

Wellington, N.Z., 5th June, 1893.
N OTICE is hereby given that the work of removing the
rock inside Nelson Harbour, opposite the Albion
Wharf, is now proceeding, and that the buoy which marked
the rock has been removed, and a punt moored in its place.
During the day a red flag, and during the night a bright
light, are shown from this punt. When the punt is away
from the place a small spar-buoy will mark the position of
the rock.

general information.

BRISBANE RIVER.—TIDE SIGNALS AT PILE LIGHTHOUSE.
Notice is hereby given that, on and after Wednesday, 17th
May, the original code of tide signals at the Pile Lighthouse,
as contained in the Local Harbour Regulations, will be
restored, replacing the one now in use there.
The depth shown by the original code is the tidal rise
added to 14ft., and that depth now exists between the Bay
and the Powder-magazine. From the latter point upwards
the available depth is 5ft. 6in. less than the above.
It is anticipated that by the end of June navigation will
be completely restored, and that there will be a depth of
14ft. of water available, in addition to the tidal rise, as far
as the Town Reach.

The following information, received from H.M.S. "Orlando,"
is hereby promulgated :—
HYDROGRAPHIC REMARKS.
Jervis Bay.—Rocky Patch off Plantation Point.
A rocky patch of very small extent lies E.N.E. five cables
from Plantation Point. The least depth of water obtained
on it was 19ft. low-water spring-tides.
Plantation Point, W.S.W. five cables; sand lump, 49° 38′ ;
Plantation Point, 118° 49′ ; Governor Head, 32° 10′. Per-
pendicular Head.
Latitude, 35° 4′ 27″ S. ; longitude, 150° 44′ 2″ E. (approxi-
mate).

AUSTRALIA—NORTH COAST.—HOWARD CHANNEL, CLARENCE
STRAIT.
In accordance with Notice to Mariners, No. 1 of 1893, a
spherical buoy painted red and white in horizontal bands,
surmounted with a staff and globe painted black, has been
placed on Marsh Shoal in lieu of the black buoy hitherto
marking the shoal. The shape and markings of the new
buoy indicate the outer end of a middle ground, in accord-
ance with the uniform system of buoyage.
