NOTICE TO Native Owners and Lessee of a
MEETING to be held at the Courthouse, Hawera, at 2 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the
5th June, 1893, to fix the Rent for a New Leas
I., Hawera, containing 94 aeres (more or less),
being Land comprised in Memorandum of
Lease registered No. 1303.
To Wiremu Katene, Kurara, Pipi, Tapui-
rang, Ngakau, Hauwhenua, Huatahi,
Tapena, Punahau, Nauroa, Taketake, Ngatai
Tangirua, Marupatunga, Tahuri, Ngaripo,
Matohe, Te Hira, Kawhena, Ngarama, Ngati,
Ngatokoma, Kirimar, John Carr (Charles Carr,
trustee), Ngawhara, Te Ike, Te Piki (kauma-
tua), Mahau, Te Piki te Iki, Hori, Wharethere,
Kiru Taupata, Tamawher, Paerang, Hiwa,
Ngahua, Rangiwhe, Rangimaha, Te Raio,
Ruhi, Motumahana, Huia, Te Kauna, Tani-
wha, Kohunga, Maha, Ngaro, Tuku, Tauke, Te
Whiorohiro, Heao, Ngahaka, Kiore, Tawhia,
Waita, Ngawai Tarawhiti, Awhio, Te Rupapira,

tuku; Atutahi Pirikau, Tini Pirikau, Taroi
Pirikau, Koronoho Pirikau (Whakarua te-
Kareha, trustee); Pirikaha, Kirihora (succes-
sors of), Tutae, Ngataitangirua, Te Whatu,
Rangihawe, Te Heke, Taumana, Hore, Whaka-
wiria, Tohukore, Pawa, Motuhunga, and the
other Native owners of all that piece of land
situate in the Hawera Survey District, being
Section 63, Block I., and containing by ad-
measurment 94 aeres (more or less), being the
land comprised in memorandom of leas, regis-
tered No. 1303, to Farquhar Finlayson, of Nor-
manby, farmer, as lessee:
Whereas the above-named Farquhar Finlayson
has given notice to me, under the provisious of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Reserves
Act, 1892," that he desire to obtain under that
section a new leas of the land above described ;
and I consider his application ougth to be given
effect to: Now, therefore, I do herby appoint a
meeting to take place between the said Farquhar
Finlayson and all the Native owners of the
abovesdescrib land, for the purpose of fixing
the rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twentyone years of the new leas; and I fix the
Courthouse, Hawera, as the place where, and
Monday, the 5th day of June, 1893, at 2 o'clock
in the afternoon, as the time when, such meeting
shll take place.

June, 1893, to fix the Rent for a New Leas to
Henry Betts of Section 77, Block III., Wai-
Mate, containing 61 aeres 2 rood 6 perches
(more or less), being the Land comprised in
Memorandum of Leas registered No. 526.
To Titokowar, Komene, Tamata, Pene, Ta-
katua Kaumata, Te Kepa, Te Manu, Nga-
one, Toru, Ohia, Te Puhi, Tuhina, Pahau,
Rang, Te Kahupokore, Mui (Ranginuia), Here,
Wharetupu, Pokere, Torotoru, Taupaki, Te
Rawhiti, Rahirunga, Takatua, Hura, Toha,
Tutahione, Mangahau, Tiori, Te Unaihi, Topahi,
Amiritia, Te Hau (Paimaiwaha), Ngawairo-
ngoa, Tango, Ngarain, Ngawain, Wharaewhe,

land situate in the Waimate Survey District,
being Section 77, Block III., and containing by
Admeasurment 61 aeres 2 rood 6 perches (more
less), being the land comprised in memoran-
dum of leas, registered No. 526, to Henry Betts,
Manai, farmer, as lessee:
Whereas the above-named Henry Betts has
given notice to me, under the provisious of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Reserves
Act, 1892," that he desire to obtain under that
section a new leas of the land above described ;
and I consider his application ougth to be given
effect to: Now, therefore, I do herby appoint a
meeting to take place between the said Henry Betts
and all the Native owners of the above-described
land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid
for the said land for the first twentone years of
the new leas; and I fix the Courthouse, Manai,
the place where, and Friday, the 2nd day of
June, 1893, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, as the
time when, such meeting shall take place.

William Rigby Woods of Section No. 151,
Block IV., Waimate, containing 210 aeres 1 rood
16 perches (more or less), being Land comprised
in Memorandum of Leas registered No. 523.
To Titokowar, Komene, Tamata, Pene,
Takatua Kaumata, Te Kepa, Te Manu,

Woods has given notice to me, under the pro-
visions of section 8 of "The West Coast Settle-
ment Reserves Act, 1892," that he desire to
obtaing under that section a new leas of the
land above described; and I consider his ap-
plication ougth to be given effect to: Now,
theefore, I do herby appoint a meeting to
take place between the said William Rigby
Woods and all the Native owners of the above-
describ land, for the purpose of fixing the rent
to be paid for the said land for the first twent-
one years of the new leas, and I fix the Court-
house, Manai, as the place where, and Saturday,
the 3rd June, 1893, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon,
the time when, such meeting shall take place.

Thoma Scott of Section 42, Block VII., Wai-
Mate, containing 75 aeres (more or less), being
Land comprised in Memorandum of Leas
registered No. 453.
To Manaia Hukunui, and the other Native
Owners of all that piece of land situate in
the Waimate Survey District, being Section 42,
Block VII., and containing by admeasurment 75
aeres (more or less), being the land comprised in
memorandom of leas, registered No. 453, to
Thoma Scott, of Manai, farmer, as lessee:
Whereas the above-named Thoma Scott has
given notice to me, under the provisious of sec-
tion 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Reserves
Act, 1892," that he desire to obtain under that
section a new leas of the land above described ;
and I consider his application ougth to be given
effect to: Now, therefore, I do herby appoint a
meeting to take place between the said Thoma
Scott and all the Native owners of the above-
describ land, for the purpose of fixing the rent
to be paid for the said land for the first twent-
one years of the new leas; and I fix the Court-
house at Manai as the place where, and Saturday,
the 3rd June, 1893, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon,
the time when, such meeting shall take place.
