Lands taken for a Road in Grey County.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain public work, to
wit, the construction of a road in Grey County:
And whereas the Grey County Council has laid before the
Governor the memorials, accompanied by maps, and also
the statutory declarations, required by the said Act and the
amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the
construction of the said road.

All in the Land District of Nelson; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plans marked as above
mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this
twenty-eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set
apart for settlement.

SCHEDULE.
TAUHOA AND KOMOKORIKI BLOCK.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Parishes
of Tauhoa and Komokoriki, containing by admeasurement
2,650 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north and
west by a forest reserve; again towards the north by Section
No. 176, Tauhoa Parish; towards the north-east generally
by a public road bounding Sections Nos. 192, 193, 194, and
201, and by said Section No. 201, all of Tauhoa Parish;
towards the south-east and south-west by Sections Nos. 96,
97, 27, 26, 25, and 24, all of Komokoriki Parish; again
towards the south-east by said Section No. 24 and by Sections
Nos. 23, 22, and 111 of Komokoriki Parish; again towards
the south-west generally by Mataia Block.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
