NOTICE is hereby given that licenses have been issued
to the under-mentioned persons authorising them to
appear as Agents in the Native Land Court for the year
ending the 31st day of December, 1893, subject to the pro-
visions of section 65 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1886,"

NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE, Opu-
ake, at 10 o'clock a.m., on Thursday, the 18th
May, 1893, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to
RICHARD CHING of Sections 55, 56, and 57,
Block IX., and Section 1, Block XV., OPUNAKE,
being the Land comprised in Memorandum of
Lease registered No. 604.
TO Wiremu Kingi Matakatea, Ruia Waita-
moko, Tukino, Ngapere, Ngawakakaha,
Waipounamu, Tamure, Ratahi, Ngataioma, Mata-
nui, Ngauta, Eruini, Ruakere, Hineawe, Kukutai,
Tamaki, Mahoka, Mihiiteao, Te Huna, Tuteuruo-
ho, and the other Native owners of all those pieces
of land situate in the Opunake Survey District,
being Sections 55, 56, and 57, Block IX., and Sec-
tion 1, Block XV., and containing by admeasure-
ment in all 471 acres 1 rood 26 perches (more or
less), being the land comprised in memorandum
of lease registered No. 604, to Richard Ching, of
Opunake, farmer, lessee:
Whereas the above-named Richard Ching has
given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the said
Richard Ching and all the Native owners of the
above-described land, for the purpose of fixing
the rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twenty-one years of the new lease, and I fix
the Courthouse, Opunake, as the place where,
and Thursday, the 18th day of May, 1893, at 10
o'clock in the forenoon, as the time when, such
meeting shall take place.

to DAVID WILKIE, of Sections Nos. 45 and 47,
Block I., WAIMATE, containing 141 acres 3 roods
22 perches (more or less), being Land com-
prised in Memorandum of Lease registered
No. 564.
TO Kokiri, Rahirunga, Turahui, Mui, Te
Whana, Tiki (tamaiti), Tuhaereao, Kura-
whero, Miriama Tawhiri, Hine Waka, Hipae,
Ngawhango, Mihi, Piko, Tinihoi, Tahuhu,
Wharepuni, Maika te Wehi, Ngakupa, Poure,
Ngaiwika, Tutahione, Ngawai, and the other
Native owners of all those pieces of land situate
in the Waimate Survey District, being Sections
Nos. 45 and 47, Block I., and containing by ad-
measurement in all 141 acres 3 roods 22 perches
(more or less), being the land comprised in
memorandum of lease registered No. 564, to
David Wilkie, of Otakeho, farmer, as transferee :
Whereas the above-named David Wilkie has
given notice to me under the provisions of sec-
tion 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Reserves
Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under that
section a new lease of the land above described;
and I consider his application ought to be given
effect to. Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint
a meeting to take place between the said David
Wilkie and all the Native owners of the above
described land, for the purpose of fixing the
rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twenty-one years of the new lease, and I fix
the Courthouse, Manaia, as the place where, and
Monday, the 22nd day of May, 1893, at 10 o'clock
in the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting
shall take place.

Opunake, being the Land comprised in Memo-
randum of Lease registered No. 599.

hipa, Tapuorongo, Ngamare, Toto, Te Ma-
nunui, Ngarepeka, Terereiao, Koi, Te Rangi,

Ripo, Te Aomoko, Iwituwahipa, Manaia Pukerua,

a meeting to take place between the said Edward
Wills and all the Native owners of the above-
described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent
to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-
one years of the new lease, and I fix the Court-
house, Manaia, as the place where, and Monday,
the 22nd day of May, 1893, at 2 o'clock in the
afternoon, as the time when, such meeting shall
take place.
