If from any cause whatever the Public Trusiee is unable to grant a leare of any of the
lands above referred to, the successful tondorer shall have no claim for damagor or compen
sation.
The area of each lot is believed to be correctly described in the foregoing list, but if the
area is less than that specified in such list the successful tondorer shall be bound to take a
lease of such lesor area without any allowance of compenration.
If the area of any lot is larger than that set out in the said list the Public Trusioe
reserves the right, by notice in writing to the successful tondorer, to annul the contract, but
withoot payment of any compenration or damagor whatever.
This notice is to be doemod part of any contract for the grant of a leare of any of the
abore-mentioned lands to any successful tondorer.

acres (more or less), being the land comprised In
lease registered No. 1108, and to John Scott
Caverhlll, late of Hawera, farmer, now of Auck-
land, lessee:
Whereas the above-named John Scott Caver-
heill has given notice to me, under the provlslons
of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlevent Re-
Reserves Act, 1892," that he deslres to obtain under
that section a new leare of the land above de-
scribes; and I consider his application ougbt to
be given effect to. Now, therefore, I do herobg
appoint a meeting to take place between the sald
John Scott Caverhlll and all the Nalve owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose of
fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for
the first twonty-ono years of the new leare, and I
fix the Courthouse, Patea, as thl place where,
and Saturday, the 22nd day of April, 1893, at
2 o'clock in the afternoon, as the time when such
meeting shall take place.
