Rivers in Auckland notified under “The Timber-floating Act, 1884.”

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of “The Timber-floating Act, 1884,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following rivers within the colony may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act:—
The Waiau River and its tributary streams and branches, and the Awakanae River, both situated in the County of Coromandel.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Premier’s Residence, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of March, 1893.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council dated the sixteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to
THE MAYOR, COUNCILLORS, AND BURGESSES OF THE BOROUGH OF BRUNNER,
who shall be known as the Dobson Domain Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the third Monday in each month, at three o’clock p.m., at the Corporation Office, Brunnerton, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the fifteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 258 (in red) on the map of the Town of Dobson, Block X., Arnold Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Omapere Street, 1000 links; towards the north-east by Maori Street, 500 links; towards the south-east by Mawhera Street, 1000 links; and towards the south-west by Herald Street, 500 links.
Also all that parcel of land containing 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve No. 290 (in red) on the map of the Town of Dobson. Bounded on the north-west by Mawhera Street, 700 links; on the north-east by Maori Street, 500 links; on the south-east by Pukaki Street, 700 links; and on the south-west by Sections Nos. 391 and 362, 500 links.
