Officiating Ministers for 1893.—Notice No. 8.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—

Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” do hereby make the following alterations in and additions to the scale of fares, rates, and charges on the New Zealand Government railways, to come into force on and after the 1st day of April, 1893:—
PART I.—PASSENGERS: LOCAL FARES AND REGULATIONS.
SUBURBAN TRAFFIC.—WELLINGTON, CHRISTCHURCH, AND DUNEDIN.
The single fares for one mile will be: First-class, 3d.; second-class, 2d.
PART IV.—LOCAL RATES.
AUCKLAND SECTION.
Sulphur, Oxford to Westfield or Auckland, will be charged as Class Q.
PART VI.—WHARVES.
KAIHU SECTION.—DARGAVILLE.
Charges for Use of Wharf.

For every vessel not over 20 tons gross register trading within the Kaipara Heads, lying at the wharf, per quarter, payable in advance .. 0 15 0
For every vessel over 20 tons gross register trading within the Kaipara Heads, lying at the wharf, per quarter, payable in advance .. 1 10 0
For every vessel, not otherwise specified, lying at the wharf, per working-day or part thereof, per ton gross register up to 150 tons .. 0 0 0½

Adoption of “The Rating Act, 1882,” by the Onslow Borough Council.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Onslow Borough Council, on or about the 28th day of June, 1892, duly passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt “The Rating Act, 1882,” and that such resolution is in the words and figures following, namely:—
“That this Council desires to adopt ‘The Rating Act, 1882.’”

Adoption of “The Rating Act, 1882,” by the Otatau Town Board.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otatau Town Board, on or about the 10th day of September, 1892, duly passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt “The Rating Act, 1882,” and that such resolution is in the words and figures following, namely:—
“That this Board desires to adopt ‘The Rating Act, 1882,’ and the amendments thereof.”

Adoption of “The Rating Act, 1882,” by the Raleigh Town Board.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Raleigh Town Board, on or about the 2nd day of May, 1892, duly passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt “The Rating Act, 1882,” and that such resolution is in the words and figures following, namely:—
“That this Board desires to adopt ‘The Rating Act, 1882,’ as provided in section 58 of that Act, made to apply to Town Boards by section 8 of the Amendment Act, 1883.”

Adoption of “The Rating Act, 1882,” by the Richmond Borough Council.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Richmond Borough Council, on or about the 22nd day of February, 1892, duly passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt “The Rating Act, 1882,” and that such resolution is in the words and figures following, namely:—
“That the Richmond Borough Council herewith adopts ‘The Rating Act, 1882.’”

PARISH OF HIKURANGI, WHANGAREI COUNTY.
East portion of Section 32, 10½ acres; upset price, £10 10s.
Open land; situated on main road to Hukerenui, three miles north of Hikurangi Post-office.
Terms of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee, within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.

Long Island, Queen Charlotte Sound, for Pastoral Lease.

WRITTEN tenders will be received at this office up to noon on Friday, the 28th April, 1893, for the right to occupy, from year to year, for pastoral purposes, under section 25 of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” the island in Queen Charlotte Sound known as Long Island.
The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
Tenders to be addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Blenheim, and marked on the outside “Tender for Long Island.”
Half a year’s rent at the price tendered, and £1 1s., license-fee, must accompany each tender.
