Land taken for Kenepuru-Manaroa Road, Marlborough District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of the Kenepuru-Manaroa Road:
And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
SCHEDULE.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the blocks of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
BLOCK I., PATERSON.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, situated in the Paterson Survey District, containing by admeasurement 633 acres, more or less, and comprising Sections Nos. 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, and 150 of Block I., Paterson Survey District.
MOKORETA BLOCK.
All that area in the Southland Land District, situated in the Mokoreta Survey District, containing by admeasurement 7,400 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Run No. 257 (Educational Endowment) to a point in line with Trig. Station EE, and the northernmost corner of Section No. 3 of Block XIV., Mokoreta Survey District; towards the north-east by a line thence over Trig. Station EE, in direction of the said northernmost corner of Section No. 3, to the road-line bounding said Section No. 3 on the north; towards the south generally by that road-line bounding Sections Nos. 2 and 1 of the said Block XIV., and by the Waikawa River to a point in line with the geodesical station on the south-eastern boundary of said Run No. 257 and the northernmost corner of Section No. 5 of Block XIII., Mokoreta Survey District; and towards the south-west by a right line to the said geodesical station.
WAIKAWA-OTARA BLOCK.
All that area in the Southland Land District, situated in the Waikawa and Otara Survey Districts, containing by admeasurement 31,000 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 11, 10, 6, and 2 of Block II., Otara Survey District, and Sections Nos. 17, 16, 9, 3, and 2 of Block III. of same district; towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 5, 4, 11, 12, 10, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 17 of Block IV., Otara Survey District, by Sections Nos. 6 and 7, a road-line, and Section No. 20, Block III., Waikawa Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 7, 8, 10, 21, and 22, Block IV., of same district; towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 2, 7, 8, 10, 1, Niagara Township, Sections Nos. 21, 18, 17, 19, 20, and 33, Block VII., and Sections
