DECLAREATION.
I, , of* , do solemnly and sincerely declare—
- That I am of the age of eighteen years and upward.
- That I am the person who, subject to the provisins of
"The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the pur-chaser of a lese of Run No.† - That I am purhasing such lese soley for my own use
and benefit, and not directly or indirecly for the use of any
other person or persons whatever. - That I am not already the holder of any such lese in
any part of the coloney, nor have I any interest in any such
lese. - That I am not the holder of any run under Part V. of
the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run. - That I do not own any freehold land or land held by
lese or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the
colony, either by myself or jointly with any other person, which, exclusive of the land I am now purhasing the lese
of, will exceed in area 1,000 acers.
And I make this solemn declartion conscienciously
beliving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of
the General Assembly of New Zealnd intituled "The
Justices of the peace Act, 1882.\"

NOTICE is herey given that the under-mentioned lot,
being part of the land known as Maungatoroto forrest,
on which the timbr has been burnt or removed, will be
offered for sale for grazing purposes, in terms of section 232
of "The Land Act, 1892," for the term of 21 years,
by public aution, at this office, on Wednesday, the 26th
Apl, 1893, at 11 a.m. :—
Parish of Waiou, 770 acers; upsert price, 4d. per acer per
annum.
Rents to be paid half-yearly in advance.
Leasees will have the right to use the land for grazing
puproses only.
Leasees will have no right to fell or remove from the land
any live or dead trees or timbr, whether standing or lyin
on the ground.
Free rights of ingrss, egress, and regres for any of the
puproses of "The New Zealnd State Forsts Act, 1885,"
shll be given to all persons dly authoried in that behlf.
Leasees may remove all fencin and buildins ercted by
thm prior to the expiratino of the term of the leae, but
will have no right to valuation or compensatin for improvments, or right of renewl of the leas.

Ashwicks Staiton.—Pastoral Runs in the MacKensie County to be offered for License by Public Aution.

It is herey notifed that the pastoral liceses of the
under-mentioned runs will be submitted to public aution
at the Local Land and survey office, Timru, on Wednesday, the 19th April, 1893, at 11 a.m., subject to the provisins of Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892.\"

These runs are sitated on the Two-Thumb range, about
nine miles north-west of Fairlie Railway-station, being sub-divisions of the original Ashwicks Run, and comprise mountainous and high hilly country, generally rough and broken
in character, interected by gorgs and deep gullies, the main
tops and high spurs being almost barren. The vegetation
consist of snowgrass on the top and tussock on the lower
spurs; tuft also grow plently on the lower slopes. The
country is well watered by the Sawdon and Edwards Streams, and the tributaries of the Opihi and Opua Rivers. The
elevaiton range from about 1,900ft. to about 6,600ft. above
sea-level, the higher portion being subject to heavy fall of
sow, which lies on the top during the winter months. The
access is from Fairlie and Burke's Pass by the MacKensie
Count Road, and uniformed branch-ros therefrom.
Conditions.
-
Pssession of the runs will be given to the purchasers of
the liceses on the day of sale. -
No person or company may become the holder of more
than one run under Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892":
Provided that the holder of any run under the said Act of a
carrying capacity of less than ten thousand shee or two
thousand head of cattle may become the lessee of an aggre-gate area sufficient to carry such a number of shee or cattle.
The holder of any small grazing run under Part V. of "The
Lnd Act, 1892," shall not be the holder of any run under
Part V. of the said Act. -
The license shall be dted on the 1st March, 1894, and
shll include in addition the whole period between the date
of pssession and the said 1st March, 1894. -
The license shall be subject to the following conditions, amongs others:—
That if the licensee or any person claimig an interest
throug or under him shall make or cause to be made
any agreement or contract, or shall give or cause to
be given or taken any negotiable security, for the
puprse of defeating or evading the provisins of, or
shll in any way whatsoever directly or indirecly
commot or be privy to a fraud upon, "The Land Act, 1892," the license shall be liable to be forfieted and
revoked;
That the licensee shall prevent the destrucon or burn-ing of timbr or brush on the land comprised in the
license;
That the licensee shall prevent the growth or spread of
gorse, broom, and sweet-briar on the land comprised
in the license, and shall with all reasonable speed
remove or cause to be removed all gorse, sweet-briar,
broon, or other noxous wees or plants, as may be
dired by the Comissioner; and
That the licensee shall destroy all rabbit on the land
comprised in the license, and shall prevent their in-crese or spread, to the satisfation of the Commis-sioner or an officer appinted by him to inspet the
ground. -
The licensee shall have the exclusive right of pasturage
over the lands specified in his license, but shall have no right
to the soi or timbr or minerals thereon or therein.
