Section 141 is situated about five miles from Mercer, and is nearly all undrainable swamp, except an area of 12 acres of dry land ; would be useful as a cattle-run in the dry season. Sections 143 and 145, open lands, accessible by road from Mercer, one mile. Section 150, about 8 acres of dry land, remainder flax swamp. Section 151, about one-half swamp with a little flax, remainder undulating fern land. These lands are from two to three miles from Mercer.

Sections 156 and 157, undulating to broken clay land, containing a few dead kauri-trees ; situated about twelve miles from Pahi Wharf. Sections 171 and 172, mostly scorched and green bush with a few scattered kauri-trees, remainder open fern land, good soil ; accessible by road. Section 227A, all light mixed bush ; extending to Mangonui River.
