IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its
amendments, and in the matter of the South Canterbury
Building and Investment Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court was, on the 27th day of October, 1892, presented to
His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston, a Judge of the Supreme
Court, by the Union Bank of Australia (Limited), an in-
corporated banking company carrying on the business of a
banker in the City of Wellington and at Timaru and elsewhere,
and having its head office for New Zealand in the City of
Wellington aforesaid, a creditor of the said South Canter-
bury Building and Investment Company (Limited) (herein-
after called the said company); and the said petition is
directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court, on the
2nd day of December, 1892, at 10.30 a.m., at the Judge’s
Chambers, Supreme Court, Christchurch; and any creditor
or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the
making of an order for the winding-up of the said company
under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing,
by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of
the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory
of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned,
on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

In the matter of the Flemington Cheese, Butter, and
Bacon Factory Company (Limited), and in the matter
of “The Companies Act, 1882.”
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 202
of the above Act, a General Meeting of the members of
the above-named company will be held in the offices of James
Charles Duncan, Bullock’s Arcade, Ashburton, on Saturday,
the 28th day of January, 1893, at 3 o’clock p.m., for the
purpose of having an account laid before them showing the
manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and
the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any
explanation that may be given by the Liquidators; and also
of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in
which the books, accounts, and documents of the company
shall be disposed of.
