Special Order made by the Eketahuna Road Board, County of Wairarapa North.

THE following special order, made by the Eketahuna Road Board, is published in accordance with "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, for the purpose of securing payment of £1,200, borrowed by the Board under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of forming and metalling three and a half miles on the Mangaoronga Road, commencing at the main road and terminating opposite the section-line dividing Section 54, Block X., Mangaone, from the Education Reserve, a special rate of 5½d. in the pound be made and levied on the rateable value for the time being of the following properties: Sections 48, 51, 54, 55, 69, 70, 71, 150, 151, 153, 154, all in Block X., Mangaone Survey District; an Education Reserve not numbered, being part of Block X., Mangaone, and joining Section 54, same block, and having an area of 250 acres; that part of Native Reserve on the eastern side of the railway-line, and containing about 716 acres, in Block X., Mangaone Survey District. Such rate shall be an annually-recurring rate, and shall be paid, in two half-yearly instalments, for twenty-six years, on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each year until the debt shall be liquidated.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made by the Eketahuna Road Board on the 5th day of November, 1892, as required by "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

ALFREDTON ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER passed by the Board on the 5th November, 1892:—

That, to meet the interest on the loan of £2,500 for Pori Road, borrowed under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and amendments, a special rate of 7d. in the pound be struck on the rateable value of the following sections: Section 13, 221 acres of Section 12, and Sections 11, 7, 10, 1, 2, and 4, Block V., Sections 5, 2, 1, Block VI., Section 8, and 215 acres of Section 7, Block II., and 80 acres of Section 13, Block I., all in the Puketoi Survey District; and that any thirds accruing to these sections be also pledged in repayment of interest; the said rate to commence on the 1st April, 1892, and end on the 31st March, 1918, to be paid each year in one sum on the 1st June, the first payment to be made on the 1st June, 1892.

I certify that the above order was duly passed.

RESULT of poll for proposed loan of £1,200, for the purpose of constructing Buckley Road, within the Wirokino Road District:—

I, John Davies, Chairman of the Wirokino Road Board, do hereby notify the result of the poll taken at Mr. Richard's house, Buckley's, on Friday, the 28th October, 1892:—

Number of ratepayers entitled to vote, 4; votes exercisable on special roll, 8; number of ratepayers voting in favour, 3; number of votes exercised in favour, 7; vote not recorded, 1; majority of ratepayers in favour, 2; majority of votes in favour, 6.

I therefore declare that the proposal has been carried by a majority of ratepayers and more than one-half the exercisable number of votes, being the majority as by statute required.

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the York Road Special Rating District, taken upon the following proposal, on the 7th November, 1892:—

To form and metal the York Road from the Mountain Road westwards; amount, £150. To form, drain, bridge, and gravel the York Road from the end of the present gravel westwards; amount, £300. To borrow for such purpose the sum of £450 under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886." To pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, and also one year's interest. To strike, as security, a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on all rateable value within the district hereinafter described. To constitute the York Road Special Rating District, to comprise the following lands—namely, Sections 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 240, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, 262, and 263, Moa Survey District.

Number of ratepayers on special roll, representing 1 vote each, 21; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 16; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, nil.

I hereby declare the proposal carried.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Kaimata North Special Rating District, taken on the 3rd November, 1892, upon the following proposal:—

1. To form and metal the Kaimata Road from the Junction Road northward; to form and improve the Bristol Road east and the Rimutauteka Road. 2. To borrow for such purpose the sum of £800 under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886." 3. To strike, as security on such loan, a special rate of 1½d. in the pound over the following lands—namely, Sections 9, 18, 19, 20, Block I., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, Block II., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, Block XIV., Waitara Survey District.
