Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road in Opuawhanga Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of a road :
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road shall and may be constructed on or through the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Opuawhanga Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, traversing the Wairahi Block; the northern side of which commences at peg 115, on the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 4, Block V., and proceeds in a westerly direction to the western boundary-line of the said block: as the same is delineated on the plans marked S.G. 12979, 12979A, and 12979B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1892.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor in Council by Rakapa, the Native owner of the lands described in the second column of the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in the Crown grant, bearing date the second day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has reported that the provisions of the law in that behalf have been complied with: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by “The Native Land Act, 1888,” and acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.

Particulars of Grant or Instrument containing Restrictions. Description of Lands.
Crown grant, Index No. 5376, T. 19, page 239, in favour of Rakapa, dated 2nd February, 1885, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki known as Section 83, Block VII., Waitara District, containing 12 acres 2 roods; and Section 3, Block XI., Waitara District, containing 37 acres 2 roods.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-first section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of any wrongly-described lands of any intended reserve, and issue fresh notifications in respect thereof, with amended particulars and descriptions :
