Black Swans declared Native Game in Otago Provincial District.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the imported birds known as black swans (Cygnus atratus) are established in the Otago Provincial District, and are to be considered as native game; and I also declare that this notification shall take effect from and after the date hereof.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 9 of “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,”
JOHN MCKINNON, of Three Springs, Silverstream, and
JOHN EDEN GOODWIN, of Eversley, Fairlie,
have been appointed Officers for the purposes of that Act within the Geraldine Acclimatisation District, which is bounded on the north-west by the Southern Alps; on the north-east by the County of Ashburton; on the south-east by the sea to the Opihi River; on the south-west by the Opihi River to the Tengawai River; thence by the Tengawai River to the Mackenzie County; towards the north-east by the Geraldine County; towards the south by the Waimate County; and towards the west by the Waitaki County.
