Mining Notices.

THE HERCULES No. 2 GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the City Hotel, Princes Street, Dunedin, on the 27th day of September, 1892, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at the same meeting EDMUND ROBINSON SMITH, of Dunedin, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DIVERT AND USE WATER.

“THE MINING ACT, 1891.”

Westland, 1st October, 1892.

To the Warden at Hokitika.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to divert and use water for mining purposes, through a race already constructed, commencing at a point in Craig’s Creek about 15 chains above dam belonging to me, and numbered 21427, and terminating at the said dam.

The length of such race is about 15 chains or thereabouts, and its course is north and south.

The mean depth of such race is 1ft. 6in., and the mean breadth is 1ft. 6in., and it is proposed to divert two Government-heads of water.

Cost of construction: £10.

Time spent in construction: Two weeks.

Number and date of miner’s right: 63408, 17th October, 1891.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that JESSIE BENNETT retires from, and transfers to CHARLES DEBENHAM BENNETT, of Gisborne, Merchant, all her interests in, the partnership business hitherto existing between WALTER HENRY CLAYTON and JESSIE BENNETT, both of Gisborne, trading under the style of “Clayton and Company,” in virtue of a deed of partnership, dated the 1st day of September, 1891, as Timber and General Merchants, Commission Agents, and Carriers.

The business will continue to be carried on, under the style of “Clayton and Company,” by Walter Henry Clayton and Charles Debenham Bennett, who will pay all debts due by, and collect all moneys owing to, the late firm.

PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

TRIENNIAL ELECTION OF SEVEN MEMBERS.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of the Pharmacy Act of 1880, it is my intention to proceed to the election of seven persons, being registered Chemists of New Zealand, to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand in place of the members of the Board whose period of office expires on the 31st December, 1892. Such persons elected shall serve until the next triennial election in 1895. The 24th day of October, 1892, is the day fixed for nominations. Nomination papers in statutory form must be lodged or delivered by post at the office of the Pharmacy Board, 95, Princes Street, Dunedin, before 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the day next preceding the day fixed for nomination. Should there be a greater number of persons nominated than the number of persons required to fill such vacancies, a poll will be taken on the 7th day of November, 1892. As the head office of the Board will be situated in Wellington during the next three years, it is notified that of the seven persons nominated there should be four from the City of Wellington, and one each from the other centres—Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago.
