Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.


SCHEDULE.

NUHAKA NORTH BLOCK.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 9,577 acres, more or less, situated in Nuhaka North Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the summit of the western watershed of Nuhaka River to Trig. A; towards the north by a line due east to Maraetaha Road; towards the east generally by that road and Nuhaka Road; and towards the south generally by Nuhaka Road and a school-site, again by Nuhaka Road and a due west line to Trig. Station D; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Mangatoto Stream with the Nuhaka River; thence by the Nuhaka River and the Tutaematuatua Stream; thence towards the south-west by that stream to its source, and by a leading spur to the summit of watershed first mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 721 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, and being Sections Nos. 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, and 188, Parish of Waiuku West, Maioro Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

THEODORE MINET LAWLOR

to be Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Coromandel, and to appoint the said Theodore Minet Lawlor to be Vaccination Inspector for the said district, vice James B. Gatland, deceased.
