Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
PIONEER BLOCK.
ALL that area containing 3,850 acres, being Sections Nos. 10 to 21 inclusive of Block XV., Mangaone Survey District, and Sections Nos. 32 to 36 inclusive of Block XI., Mangaone Survey District, and Sections Nos. 37 to 40 inclusive of Blocks XI. and XV., Mangaone Survey District.

Negotiations for acquiring Horowhenua No. 11 have been entered into by Her Majesty.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance of the provisions of “The Native Land Purchases Act, 1892,” it is hereby notified that negotiations by Her Majesty the Queen for the purchase or acquirement of the block of Native land which is more particularly described and mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been entered into.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing 14,975 acres, known as Subdivision No. 11, Horowhenua, situate in Block IV., Moutere Survey District; Block XIII., Mount Robinson Survey District; Blocks I. and II., Waitohu Survey District; and Block I., Waiopenu Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. xlviii., folio 249, of the register-book of the Wellington District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
