A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act,”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in that behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
HAUTAPU-RUAHINE BLOCK, WELLINGTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 28,600 acres, more or less, situated in the Hautapu, Ruahine, Apiti, and Umutoi Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Kawhatau River and the Otamakapua No. 2B Block; again by the Kawhatau River and the Pourangaki River; towards the east by a due south line distant 60 chains east of Trig. Station K, in Block I., Umutoi Survey District; towards the south by the Oroua River; again towards the east by Block IV., Umutoi Survey District; towards the south-east by Coal Creek; and towards the west generally by the Main Cross Road East, by Feilding Special Settlement, by Pemberton Small-farm Association area, and by Blocks XV. and XI., Hautapu Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

PART OF BLOCKS VII., X., AND XI., WOODLANDS.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,693 acres, more or less, comprised as follows:
41 acres, more or less, situate in Block VII., Woodland Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 30 of the said block; towards the north-east and south-east by sold land; and generally towards the south by the road reserve skirting Purakaunui River.
Also 238 acres, more or less, being Section No. 15 and part of Section No. 22, situate in Block X., Woodland Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a road-line; towards the east by Sections Nos. 13 and 14 of the said block; and towards the south and south-west by Section No. 25, by the Waitangi Stream, and by sold land.
Also 1,414 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks VII. and XI., Woodland Survey District. Bounded towards the west by a village reserve; towards the north-west by Waiheke Stream and a road-line bounding Sections Nos. 14, 13, and 12, Block X.; towards the north-east and north by Section No. 32, Block VII.; towards the east by Block VIII., across and by Purakaunui River, a bush reserve, and a coal reserve; and towards the south-east generally by Sections Nos. 10, 15, 11, and 8, Block XI., all of said district.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
