Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Borough of Westport.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Westport, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

BOROUGH OF WESTPORT.

THE following is the result of the poll taken on Friday, the 5th August, 1892, on a proposal to raise a loan of £4,000, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for drainage and other sanitary purposes in the Borough of Westport:—

Number of ratepayers on roll 464, representing 618 votes; 271 ratepayers, representing 388 votes, voted in favour of the proposal, and 13 ratepayers, representing 20 votes, voted against the proposal.

A majority in number of the ratepayers, exercising more than one-half of the total number of votes, having voted in favour of the proposal, I therefore declare the resolution in favour of the proposal to be duly carried.
