The Weber section adjoins the main road from Danevirke to Herbertville, and is about one mile from Weber Village. A portion of the land is cleared, the remainder being heavy bush. The sections of the Mohaka Ferry Reserve are open country, with the exception of a little mixed bush on Section 9. They adjoin the main Napier–Taupo Road.

Conditions of Sale: Half-a-year's rent and £1 1s. lease-fee must be paid by the successful bidder at the close of the auction. The leases will date from the 1st January, 1893, and the rent paid at the sale will be for the half-year commencing from that date. No claim will be recognised by the Crown for any improvements effected by the lessee during his lease.

The following sections will be offered by public auction, at the Crown Lands Office, Gisborne, at the same date and hour:—

Conditions of Sale: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer. The balance, with £1 Crown-grant fee, to be paid within thirty days from the date of sale.

Bush land, fairly level, abutting on the main road. They are about in the centre of the recently-settled Crown land in the district.

Conditions of Sale: The leases will be for a term of seven years commencing from the 1st January, 1893, subject to the right of the Crown to resume any portion for road purposes. Lessees will have to personally reside on the land within six months from the date of selection, and continue to do so throughout the term. No claim will be recognised for the value of improvements effected by the lessee, but he will have the right to remove any building that he may have erected at the termination of his lease. Rent is to be paid half-yearly in advance on the 1st January and 1st July in each year, but the first half-year's rent, to commence from the 1st January, 1893, must be lodged with the application for the lease, accompanied with a lease-fee of £1 1s. The lessee shall bring into cultivation one-half of the land within one year from the commencement of his lease. For failure in carrying out any of these conditions the lease will be forfeited.

Should more than one application be received for the lease of any section, the right to occupy the same will be determined by lot at 11 a.m., at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, on the following day.

Rural Land for Sale by Auction.

IT is hereby notified, in terms of “The Land Act, 1885,” that the under-mentioned section of rural land will be offered for sale for cash, by public auction, at this office, on Wednesday, the 17th August, 1892.

One-fifth of the purchase-money, and the amount of valuation for improvements, must be deposited on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 Crown-grant fee, within thirty days, or the deposit will be forfeited. There are no limitations or restrictions incumbent upon purchasers of cash lands at auction.

Plans and full particulars may be obtained at this office.

This reserve is situated at Barry’s Pass, adjoining the main road from Little River to Akaroa, about a quarter-mile westward of the Hill Top Hotel, and comprises hilly and undulating land, formerly covered with forest, but now roughly cleared and well grassed. A sum of £37 16s. must be paid on the fall of the hammer for the improvements on the land, consisting of fencing.

Plans may be inspected at the local post-offices and at the Land Offices, Auckland and Tauranga.
