Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve at
New Plymouth.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor
may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or
alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter
vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the pur-
poses named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any
reserves made under the authority of section two hundred
and twenty-seven of "The Land Act, 1885," if it shall, in the
opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or
presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other
purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expe-
dient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve
for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more
purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by
notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to make such
change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in
such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same
is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare my in-
tention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described
in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the specific
purpose set opposite such description in the second column
of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Reserve. Intended Purpose.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki District, situate in the Town of New Ply- mouth, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north by high-water mark; towards the east by Hobson Street, 300 links; towards the south by Octavius Place, 1635 links; and towards the west by Eliot Street, 250 links: reserved for a gaol-site and other public purposes. For a public recreation-ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-third day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-two.

Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said sec-
tion is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or
selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-
five days from the date of the first public notification hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the
conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per
acre stated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

MANGONUI COUNTY.—UNsurveyed LAND.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situ-
ate in the Parish of Mangonui East, and containing by ad-
measurement 1,850 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the north-east generally by the sea; towards the south-east
by the Tainaro Block and by a right line from the south-
western angle of that block to the north-eastern angle of the
Waiaua Block; and towards the west generally by that block,
by the Waitetoke Stream, by land granted to W. Butler, by
land granted to Mariana Rapihana, by land granted to
W. Butler, and by Doubtless Bay to the point of commence-
ment.
Broken, clay land, well watered, about one-third mixed
forest, remainder open fern-and-scrub land; situated upon
sea-coast, about three miles from Mangonui.
Price, 7s. 6d. an acre.

this twenty-third day of June, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-two.

Vaccination Districts constituted.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the
Governor by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, David,
Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination districts
known as the Palmerston North and Foxton Districts; and
do declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said districts is hereby divided anew into two vaccination
districts, the names whereof shall be the Palmerston North
and Foxton Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be
coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts
bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation
of even date herewith, made under the provisions of "The
Marriage Act, 1880."
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-two.

Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the
New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated
in the said Schedule.
