REMARKS.—Showery early part of month; on 7th very heavy rain from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., causing floods; from 9th to 26th showery and unpleasant weather, frequently strong winds from N.W. and S., and cold weather; last few days of month fine with light winds. Maximum temperature in shade, 68·5; minimum, 36; mean temperature of dewpoint, 46·3; mean humidity, 78. Aurora observed on 1st, at 9.15 p.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 23rd day of July, 1892.

THE KAWARAU BIG BEACH DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 26th day of April, 1892, the following special resolution was passed, and was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 16th day of May, 1892:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”

And at such last-mentioned meeting JOHN ALWENT CHAPMAN, of Dunedin, Sharebroker, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the Waikaiā Dredging Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 18th day of June, 1892, presented to the Supreme Court at Dunedin, by Joseph Sparrow, of Dunedin, Engineer, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before Mr. Justice Williams, at his Chambers, Supreme Court, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 5th day of July, 1892, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose. And a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulation-charge for the same.
