Kapara District: All papa formation, the higher ridges are capped by a soft tufa-micaceous sandstone; the hills range from 700ft. to 1,000ft. above the river. The sum of £2,664 9s. 10d. has been included in the prices, to cover cost of roading, without metalling. It is proposed to make the valley-road a cart-road, and the ridge and Otaweta Roads as bridle-tracks.

Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

WHANGAREI COUNTY.—UNSURVEYED LAND.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in the Parish of Maungakaramea, and containing approximately 1,100 acres. Bounded towards the north by the southern boundary of the Parish of Maungatapere; towards the east by Sections Nos. 2 and 100 of the Parish of Maungakaramea; towards the south generally by the Maungapai River, by a landing reserve, and again by the Mangapai River; and towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 104, 103, 102, 101, and 98 of the Parish of Maungakaramea to the point of commencement.

All open poor gum land, situated opposite Mangapai.

Cash price, 5s. an acre.

OTAMATEA COUNTY.—UNSURVEYED LAND.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in the Parish of Mareretu, and containing approxi-
mately 3,100 acres. Bounded towards the north generally
by the Mangonui River; towards the east by land already
open for selection as unsurveyed land, and by a public
road; towards the south generally by Section No. 221 of the
Parish of Mareretu, and by a forest reserve; and towards
the south-west by the north-eastern boundary of the Parish
of Matakohi to the point of commencement.

Undulating to broken forest land of generally good quality,
well watered, has a frontage to Mangonui River, and is situ-
ated about ten miles from Pahi, accessible by partially-
formed bridle-road. There are only one or two kauri trees
scattered through this block, but none of any value.

Cash price, 10s. an acre.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

to be a Trustee, in the place of Mr. J. W. Gibson, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kaituna Valley Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
