IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Broken ground, fair soil, about fifty acres of Section 24 and half of Section 32 covered with manuka scrub and bush, remainder open, watered; altitude from 200ft. to 1,000ft. above sea-level. Situated about twelve miles west from Lawrence Railway-station, near the Clutha River; distance from Dunedin about seventy-two miles.

Swampy land, situated at head of Lake Wakatipu. Distance from Dunedin about 225 miles; rail to Kingston, thence by steamer to Queenstown, from which town the sections are distant some twenty-nine miles by steamer.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
