Settlers' and Volunteers' Land Act, 1891."

IT is hereby notified, in terms of "The Naval and Military
Settlers' and Volunteers' Land Act, 1891," that the
under-mentioned sections will be open for application by
holders of remission certificates under the above Act, on and
after Wednesday, the 6th July, 1892, at the District Land
and Survey Office, Auckland.

A holder of remission certificate may select any allotment
the cash price whereof does not exceed in amount the sum
of money to be remitted under such certificate, and, with
his application for such allotment, shall deposit his remis-
sion certificate. Where more than one application for the
same allotment is made on the same day, priority of choice
shall be decided between the applicants by lot. Applica-
tions to be made at this office between the hours of 10 a.m.
to 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Lease of Reserves to be sold at Auction.
District Land and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 16th May, 1892.
IT is hereby notified, in terms of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," that the leases of the under-mentioned
reserves will be offered for sale by public auction, at this
office, on Tuesday, the 5th July, 1892, at 11 o'clock a.m.
Three months' rent to the 1st October, 1892, must be paid
on the fall of the hammer. The term of lease will in each
case be for seven years, subject to the right of the Crown to
terminate each lease by a year's notice if the land is re-
quired by the Government for any purpose:—
Reserve 61, situated at Adderley Head, Port Lyttelton;
area, 323 acres; upset annual rental, £40 7s. 6d. Access to
this reserve can only be obtained by water. The land occu-
pied by the Lyttelton Harbour Board's pilot-station in Little
Port Cooper, the site of the look-out house on the head, and
right-of-way between the two are reserved from lease.
Cemetery Reserve, No. 62A, at Camp Bay, Port Lyttelton;
area, 30 acres; upset annual rental, £3 15s. The lessee will
be required to fence off the graves on the point within the
reserve.
The lessees will have the right of occupying and using the
lands for grazing purposes, but will be prohibited from crop-
ping the same.
