THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

Result of poll on proposal to borrow £5,000 for the construction of the Upper Wangaehu Valley Road, Upper Wangaehu Road District, held at Mangamahu, on the 28th May, 1892 :—
Total number of ratepayers on roll, representing 51 votes, 18; votes recorded for the proposal, 40; number of ratepayers voting for the proposal, 13; votes against, 0; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal, 0; informal, 0; votes not recorded, 11; total number of votes against, 11.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than one-half of the votes which can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
