IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint
JOE GREGORY
to be a Trustee, in the place of Mr. G. R. Brown, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Nile Hill Ceme-
tery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by
warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on
the eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-two.
As witness the hand of his Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this twentieth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
two.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington,
Canterbury, and Otago described in the Schedule here-
under written, for the purposes in the said Schedule speci-
fied in each case at the end of the description of the land so
intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Section No. 13, Block X., Wairere Survey District, and con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the north and east by a village reserve, 519 and 400
links respectively; towards the south by Section No. 3,
Block X., Wairere Survey District, 481 links; and towards
the west by the Waiharakeke East No. 3A Block, 402 links,
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For a public-school site.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 10, Block XI., Wairere Survey District,
and containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by lines,
3162 and 1587 links respectively; towards the south-west by
Sections Nos. 9 and 8, Block X., Wairere Survey District,
3162 links; and towards the north-west by a line, 1587 links,
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For the growth and preservation of timber.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 28, Block VII., Wairere Survey District,
and containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east by lines, 3460 and 1835 links;
towards the south-west by Section No. 21, Block VII., Wai-
rere Survey District, by a road reserve, and by Section
No. 26 of the same block, 3970 links; and towards the west
by Section No. 26 aforesaid, 1540 links, to the point of com-
mencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For
the growth and preservation of timber.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Allotments Nos. 633, 634, 635, 636, 637, 638, 639, 640,
641, 642, 643, 644, 645, 646, 647, 648, 649, and 650 of the
Town of Cambridge East, and containing by admeasurement
6 acres 2 roods 7 perches, more or less. Bounded towards
the north by Williams Street West, 500 links; towards
the east by a public road, 1309 links; towards the south
by Clare Street, 500 links; and towards the west by Grey
Street, 1309 links, to the point of commencement: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For purposes of the General
Government.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 1A of the Suburbs of Rangiriri, and con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the north by Section No. 2 of the Suburbs
of Rangiriri, 500 links; towards the east by the same section,
500 links; towards the south by Phelps Street, 500 links;
and towards the west by Talbot Street, 500 links, to the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less. For a Native burial-ground.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Allotment No. 36A of the Suburbs of Weymouth, and
containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 33 perches,
more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road,
903 links; towards the east by a public road, 1009 links;
towards the south by a public road, 769 links; and towards
the west by Manukau Harbour to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
public recreation-ground.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 182 of the Parish of Onewhero, and con-
taining by admeasurement 4 acres and 34 perches, more or
less. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by the
Ohairoa Stream; towards the south-west by a public road,
770 links; and towards the north-west by a public road
running along the bank of the Waikato River, 385 links, to
the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For a public landing-place.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Section No. 181 of the Parish of Onewhero, and con-
taining by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 35 perches,
more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road,
450 links; towards the north-east by a public road running
along the bank of the Waikato River; towards the south-
east by Section No. 95 of the Parish of Onewhero, 320 links;
and towards the south-west by Section No. 164 of the same
parish, 1559, 321, and 446 links, to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
public landing-place.
TARANAKI.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 730 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 19, Block XII., Huiroa Survey District. Bounded
on the north-east by Section No. 20, 13392 links; on the
south by Sections Nos. 13, 14, and 15, 10068·4 links; and on
the west by the Kaikoura Road 14371·4 links, by a road 100
links wide along the Makino Stream, and by the Kaikoura
Road 1450 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a forest reserve.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 54, Block IV., Kaupokonui Survey District.
Bounded on the north by the Pembroke Road, 2904·7 links;
on the east and south by the Patea River; and on the west by
a road, 480 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a forest reserve.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 18 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Section No. 55, Block IV., Kaupokonui Survey Dis-
trict. Bounded on the north by the Pembroke Road, 2345
links; on the east by the Barclay Road, 1573·4 links; on the
south by the Patea River; and on the west by the Pembroke
Road, 175 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a forest reserve.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 114 acres, more or less, being Sec-
tion No. 1, Block II., Ngatimaru Survey District. Bounded
on the north, east, and south by the Waitara River; and on
the west by the Ngatoto Road, 3295·7 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the
plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New
Plymouth. For a forest reserve.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 67 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 13, Block XIII., Waitara Survey District.
