Situated about seven and eight miles from Mercer as the crow flies.

Sections Nos. 448 to 461, broken land, covered with heavy mixed bush, fair soil, except Section No. 454; 455, 457, 458, and 461 have each between 100 and 200 acres fern land, and the remaining lots from 20 to 50 acres each of open fern land. These lands are situated from sixteen to twenty miles from Wairangi Railway-station, and would make good sheep-farms, as the soil will carry both grass and clover. The sections are well watered by small streams. Section No. 461A, nearly all undrainable swamp, containing a little flax; valuable only for pasturage in the summer time. Section No. 462 is close to Waikare Lake, between Rangiriri and Onetea Streams; 463 is near Rangiriri. Both these lots are swampy, and would make excellent summer runs for cattle. Section No. 464, about 30 acres kahikatea forest, 40 acres good swamp, 30 acres useless rush swamp, and the balance broken fern land. The land lies about five and a half miles from Mercer. Sections Nos. 465 and 466 are poor rush swamp, with a subsoil of pumice, about four miles from Rangiriri.

Sections 274 and 275, undulating fern land of fair quality, about sixteen miles from Wairangi Station; 315 and 316, about one-third good swamp and kahikatea bush, remainder fern land; 328, undulating fern land. These lands are about fourteen miles from Ohinewai Railway-station.
